HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Families across Henry County and Martinsville can look forward to a weekend and week filled with colorful eggs, festive games, and sweet treats.

Local organizations and churches will host a variety of free Easter egg hunts and family-friendly events from April 12 through April 19.

Here’s a roundup of the upcoming Easter events:

Saturday, April 12

• 10:00–11:30 a.m. – Mulberry Creek Assisted Living (400 Blue Ridge St., Martinsville) hosts its Easter Egg Hunt, featuring games, the Easter Bunny, and more
• 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. – Ridgeway Branch of the Blue Ridge Regional Library (900 Vista View Ln, Ridgeway) holds its Spring Eggstravaganza with egg hunts, crafts, food, prizes, and photos. Free hot dog lunch from 11:30–12:30
• 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. – Horsepasture Christian Church (1146 Horsepasture Price Rd, Ridgeway) kicks off Holy Week with an egg hunt, games, food, and shaved ice
• 2:00–4:00 p.m. – Vision Assembly of God (153 Oakland Dr., Collinsville) presents its Easter Eggstravaganza with bounce house, games, door prizes, and photos

Friday, April 18

• 3:00 p.m. – Henry County Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt at Jack Dalton Park (402 Jack Dalton Rd, Martinsville). Kids can search for decorated eggs and win prizes, including golden egg surprises.

Saturday, April 19

• 9:00 a.m. – Hillcrest Baptist Church (18075 A. L. Philpott Hwy, Ridgeway) will host a Easter Pancake Breakfast and Egg Hunt. Breakfast starts at 9 a.m., followed by the Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m. Event for preschool through 5th grade.
• 10:00 a.m. – First Baptist Church Ridgeway (15 Church St., Ridgeway) presents an Easter Egg Hunt with prizes and refreshments.
• 10:00 a.m. – Patrick & Henry Community College Baseball Team & Charity League of Martinsville and Henry County, will host an Easter egg hunt for children ages 2–10 at Hooker Field (450 Commonwealth Blvd E, Martinsville)
• 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. – New Life Community Church (415 Mica Rd, Ridgeway) presents a community Easter event featuring games, food, and prizes
• 11:00 a.m. – Fairway Baptist Church (9427 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett) will host an Easter Eggstravaganza with refreshments/hot dogs, Easter story, egg hunt, and prizes. For ages Pre-K through 5th grade in the Monroe Koger Hall
• 11:00 a.m. (registration) – Smith River RV Park (319 TB Stanley Hwy, Bassett) presents an Easter celebration with a noon egg hunt, bunny hop race, golden egg prizes, and scavenger hunts
• 12:00 p.m. – High Ridge Missionary Baptist Church (1045 Carver Road, Martinsville) will host an Easter egg hunt with food and music
• 1:00 p.m. – Mt. Vernon Baptist Church (7174 Mountain Valley Rd, Axton) presents an Easter EGGstravaganza with a candy-filled egg hunt and golden egg prize giveaways

All events are free and open to the public.
