DANVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — Seven individuals have been charged in connection with a series of thefts from vehicles across Danville.

The incidents spanned multiple neighborhoods and occurred over the first several months of 2025.

Investigators say three Danville residents — Syreeta Watkins, 49; Tohn Echols, 48; and Shadd Breakley, 49 — acted in concert to commit a number of the thefts.

Watkins and Echols have been arrested, while Breakley remains at large.

Watkins is charged with one count of felony grand larceny and four counts of felony theft of credit cards.

Echols faces charges including petit larceny, unauthorized possession of multiple credit cards, and felony auto theft.

Breakley is wanted on felony and misdemeanor charges, including theft of credit cards and credit card fraud.

Four additional individuals, who investigators said they believe acted independently, were also charged:

  • Roderick Tabb, 33, of Danville: Faces 12 charges including grand larceny and six counts of felony theft of credit cards
  • Roland Cobbins, 64, of Winston-Salem, N.C.: Charged with unauthorized possession of multiple credit cards and possession of burglarious tools. He was arrested in North Carolina and later released on bond.
  • Lashaunta Saunders, 41, of Danville: Charged with two counts of felony grand larceny and four misdemeanor counts related to entering vehicles
  • Preston Gardner-Phelps, 18, of Mississippi: Faces two misdemeanor counts of entering or setting in motion a vehicle

The Danville Police Department says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.

Authorities remind residents to secure valuables out of sight and lock their vehicles, even when stepping away briefly.
