HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — After the emotional closure of his beloved restaurant, Tammy’s Grill, LLC owner Naquias Johnson announced via Facebook that his award-winning food is making a comeback.
“As many of you know, I closed my restaurant back in July of 2024. The feeling of doing so was equivalent to losing a loved one. Even though I felt it was the right decision. It crushed my soul,” Johnson wrote in a heartfelt post shared on April 22.
Known for its bone-in wings, boneless wings, tenders, fries, and drinks, Tammy’s Grill had gained a loyal following before the closure.
Johnson said the impact of the closure was deeply personal, noting that it led to a difficult chapter in his life.
“I had really given up on everything,” he shared. “But we back y’all! All thanks to God who’s been keeping me through it all.”
Only the food truck will be reopening at this time, not the physical restaurant.
Johnson said he had to make “so many sacrifices to get back in compliance” to relaunch the mobile kitchen.
He also apologized to customers who reached out during the transition and may not have received a response.
You can follow Tammy’s Grill, LLC on Facebook for the latest announcements on where the food truck will be stationed.
“We’ve missed you all so much,” Johnson said.
