FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Two men were arrested in connection with the shooting death of Emily Grace Keene, 24, authorities announced on May 8.

Corion Devontae Manns, 22, of Henry, and Isaiah Kahlil Witcher, 25, of Bassett, were taken into custody on May 7 and charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Both are being held without bond pending court proceedings.

The arrests follow the discovery of Keene’s body on May 5 in the 500 block of Holley Ridge Road.

Deputies responded to the scene shortly before noon after receiving a report of an unresponsive female.

Keene was found deceased in the driver’s seat of her vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Authorities are investigating the death of a woman found shot inside her vehicle on May 5 as a homicide.

Deputies responded to the 500 block of Holley Ridge Road in Henry at around 11:52 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive female.

Upon arrival, they said they located 24-year-old Emily Grace Keene, of Callaway, deceased in the driver’s seat of her vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.

The scene was secured and processed by the department’s criminal investigations unit.

Keene’s body was transported to the medical examiner’s office, where her death was officially ruled a homicide.

Authorities said the investigation is active and ongoing.

They are asking anyone who had contact with Keene between May 4 and May 5—or who may have information related to the case—to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 540-483-3000.
