
PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a breaking and entering and is asking the public for assistance in identifying a person of interest.
On May 13, deputies responded to a call from a homeowner reporting a residential burglary that occurred in the Riviera Drive community off Old Richmond Road.
Investigators believe the break-in occurred on or around May 12.
Upon arrival, deputies said they confirmed that the residence had been unlawfully entered and various items had been stolen.
Authorities have released a photo of a person believed to be connected to the incident.
The individual is being sought for questioning as a person of interest.
Anyone with information related to this break-in or who can help identify the person in the released photo is asked to contact the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office at 434-432-7931 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-791-0044.
Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
