
RIDGEWAY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Ridgeway woman was arrested following a drug raid conducted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office on May 15.
Deputies with the SWAT team, investigators, and drug interdiction unit executed a search warrant at a room at the Travel Inn, located at 4520 Greensboro Road.
During the operation, suspected meth and heroin were seized, according to Henry County Sheriff Wayne Davis.
A puppy that ran out of the room and toward the highway was rescued by deputies and held by Sheriff Davis while he waited for animal services to pick it up.
Danielle Renee Chappel, 24, was charged with possession of meth and is currently being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.
Davis said the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are expected.
