HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Two people escaped injury after a crash on June 5 in Henry County.

The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. on Virginia Avenue in the vicinity of Oak Level Road.

Virginia State Police told rbs news now that a black Lexus sedan was going along a curve when it veered off the road and slid underneath an Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. tractor-trailer.

The vehicle was dragged an estimated 500 to 600 feet before coming to a stop.

State Police said no injuries were reported in the crash.

The northbound lanes of Virginia Avenue were completely blocked for a time, causing traffic backups stretching approximately a mile.

Henry County Public Safety, the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department, and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
