COLLINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — A months-long narcotics investigation culminated on June 25 in a multi-agency raid at a residence in Collinsville.

The operation involved the Henry County Sheriff’s Office’s Vice and Narcotics Interdiction Units, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Law enforcement executed a narcotics search warrant on Colonial Drive near Laurel Lane.

“We have evidence that both fentanyl and cocaine were sold from this residence,” Sheriff Wayne Davis told rbs news now at the scene. “This is just another effort to make Henry County a safer place.”

Davis said inside the home, they found four Hispanic adults and two juveniles with multiple or unverifiable forms of identification, leading to ICE’s involvement in the operation.

Deputies said the quantity of suspected narcotics seized will be submitted to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science for analysis.

Ammunition, digital scales, and drug packaging materials consistent with the distribution of illegal narcotics were also recovered.

Stephanie Moran-Maldonado, was taken into custody on outstanding warrants and transported to the Henry County Adult Detention Center.

Moran-Maldonado faces 2 counts of failure to appear for felony offense and contempt of court.

Roberto Zelaya was arrested by ICE in connection with an investigation into illegal re-entry after a prior deportation.

“Anyone involved in this house was obviously a knowing participant in the narcotics trade,” he said. “They are selling drugs and poisoning our community.”

Sheriff Davis emphasized the strong working relationship between his office and federal partners.

This investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed pending the results of forensic testing.
