
RIDGEWAY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Ridgeway man is behind bars following a joint investigation by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations into the alleged production and distribution of child pornography.
On July 1, investigators from both agencies executed a search warrant at a residence on Lakes Edge Drive in the Ridgeway community.
During the search, authorities said they uncovered evidence related to the creation of sexually explicit material involving children.
Ryan Michael Workman, 32, was identified as the primary suspect and was arrested at the scene.
He faces five counts of production of child sexually abusive material and is being held at the Henry County Adult Detention Center without bond.
“The exploitation of children is a serious and reprehensible crime,” the Henry County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. “Our agency, along with our federal partners, is committed to identifying, investigating, and prosecuting those responsible for these acts to the fullest extent of the law.”
The investigation remains ongoing.

Rewards of up to $2,500 are available for information leading to an arrest.
