
COLLINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — A traffic stop conducted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Interdiction Unit on July 17 led to the seizure of illegal drugs and the arrest of three men in Collinsville.
Deputies stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Oakland Drive after observing Billy Joe Plaster, a passenger in the car, who was known to have an active capias for his arrest.
The vehicle was driven by Kevin Devaughn Smith and also had Prince Eric Hanson as a passenger, according to authorities.
K9 Zajo was deployed during the stop and alerted deputies to the presence of narcotics.
A search of the vehicle and its occupants uncovered suspected fentanyl, meth, and drug-related paraphernalia.
Authorities said Hanson was found with a quantity of suspected fentanyl and all items seized will be sent to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science for further analysis.

A 2010 Mercedes used in the incident was also seized.
Plaster was charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and probation violation.
Smith faces possession of meth and possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute charges.
Hanson is facing a charge of possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.
“The Henry County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to disrupting the distribution of dangerous narcotics in our community,” Sheriff Wayne Davis said. “I commend the proactive work of our deputies and K9 unit in this case.”
