
MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — Erica’s Humble Hearts Learning Academy celebrated its official ribbon-cutting Friday afternoon inside Mount Sinai Apostle Church at 7 Peters Street.
The new academy says it aims to provide a nurturing and inspiring start to early education with play-based learning, creativity and social development.
The program focuses on building confidence, kindness and curiosity in every child, according to a Facebook post.
Owner and director Erica Penn-Reynolds brings years of experience in child care, having worked in various daycares, preschools and after-school programs.

Penn-Reynolds earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Bluefield University in 2022 and also holds an associate degree in early childhood education from Patrick Henry Community College.
The Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce hosted the event on August 22.
