PATRICK COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Stuart man died on August 28 in a crash on Jeb Stuart Highway, Virginia State Police said.

The crash occurred at 9:05 a.m. just east of South Fork Loop.

State police said a 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was pulling out of a crossover when it was struck by a 2017 Ford Fusion going west in the eastbound lanes.

The motorcyclist, identified as Robin Lee Hiatt, 55, was wearing a helmet but died at the scene, according to police.

Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
