AXTON, Va. (rbs news now) — A man has been charged after a DUI-related crash that left two people dead and three others injured Saturday evening.

The crash occurred September 20 in the 7600 block of Axton Road in Axton.

Virginia State Police said on Monday that a 2010 Cadillac SRX going south crossed the centerline and struck a 2009 Nissan Quest head-on.

The driver of the Nissan, Misty Lynn Holland, 45, of Stoneville, North Carolina, was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.

An 11-year-old passenger, Keontae Devon Millner, was also wearing his seatbelt and died at the scene.

Two other passengers in the Nissan — a 26-year-old and another man whose date of birth has not yet been confirmed — were wearing seatbelts and were transported to a hospital for their injuries.

The driver of the Cadillac, Charles Vincent Boulding, 60, of Eden, North Carolina, was wearing his seatbelt and was taken to the hospital with injuries.

Boulding has been charged with driving under the influence, state police said.

The crash remains under investigation.

AXTON, Va. (rbs news now) — Two people were killed and three others were transported for injuries following a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening in Axton, according to firefighters.

Crews were called out at about 7:20 p.m. September 20 in the 7600 block of Axton Road.

Virginia State Police are investigating the crash.

Firefighters said Axton Road will remain closed for an extended period while emergency crews work the scene.

Multiple agencies responded, including the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad, Horsepasture Rescue Squad, Henry County Public Safety, Axton Volunteer Fire Department, Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department and the Rockingham County, NC Sheriff’s Office.
