FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A crash left a woman dead Thursday afternoon in Franklin County.

Virginia State Police was dispatched to the crash at about 1:50 p.m. September 25 on Route 834, two-tenths of a mile south of Route 1129.

A 2006 Subaru Legacy going north on Route 834 ran off the left side of the road and overturned, state police said.

The driver, Kathy Jean Turman, 72, of Glade Hill, was wearing her seat belt and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
