HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — An elderly man drove a vehicle into an apartment building in Henry County on Friday morning.
The crash occurred shortly before 9 a.m. at Glen Ridge Apartments on Glenridge Drive.
A blue Kia Spectra rammed into one of the apartment units.
The driver told first responders that the accelerator got stuck.

No one was hurt, according the Henry County Department of Public Safety.
The sister of one displaced resident told rbs news now she had arrived early to pick up her brother to run errands.
The two left shortly after 8 a.m., about an hour earlier than usual.
She did not want to be identified but said it was “by the grace of God” she came early, calling it a testimony for her brother.

Her brother and another woman were displaced by the crash.
The woman who was inside one of the apartments when the crash happened was shaken up but not injured.
The American Red Cross was called to assist, and the brother will stay with his sister while management repairs and reconstructs the apartments.
The Ridgeway District Volunteer Fire Department also responded, and Virginia State Police are investigating.
