HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Two teens were shot late Friday night at a Henry County home that has been the scene of multiple shootings in recent months.

The shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. October 3 at a home on the corner of Clearview Drive and Old Chatham Road.

Sheriff Wayne Davis said in an interview with Charles Roark of Star News Television on Saturday afternoon during the Oktoberfest event in Uptown Martinsville that two teens were shot.

The 18-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, while the 15-year-old was shot in the leg, abdomen and arm.

Both were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Sheriff Davis said deputies encountered a “chaotic” and uncooperative scene.

“At this point, we don’t have any leads because no one is cooperating — not the victims, not the witnesses, not the homeowner,” Davis said. “In fact, everyone wanted to hinder our investigation.”

The sheriff noted that Friday’s shooting marks the third time gunfire has erupted at the same residence.

The second shooting, which occurred exactly two months earlier on August 3, 2025, was reported by rbs news now.

In that case, two teens were arrested in connection with the shooting of an 18-year-old woman, the sister of one of the victims, during her birthday party.

“It leaves one to wonder what the problem is,” Davis said. “We’re looking into any and all sanctions against that homeowner or property owner for continually allowing these parties to take place, juveniles to come there, and violent acts to erupt.”

Deputies found numerous shell casings around the home’s carport Friday night.

Investigators also examined a nearby convenience store parking lot that was taped off as part of the crime scene.

“It’s absolutely unacceptable for it to have happened there twice — and now three times,” Davis said. “There is no place in this community for acts of violence.”

The sheriff added that the department would continue investigating and “exhaust all efforts” to identify those responsible.

In a Facebook post shared the next day, the sister of one of the victims expressed anger and grief over the shooting, writing that she and her brother “did not deserve none of this.” She added, “We is kids … we still too young to be getting shot … pray for my lil brother.”

The victim’s mother also posted on Facebook, expressing frustration with how she felt authorities and the media treated the incident.

She wrote, “Now I’m pissed off! Once again, the case of the Black victims getting talked to, about and treated as if we are the f—ing suspects here!”

The mother claimed her son had been shot over a young male trying to “run” her son’s pockets.

The investigation remains ongoing.
