PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Java man died late Friday night after his vehicle crossed the median and crashed on Route 29 in Pittsylvania County.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. October 3, just north of Tower Lane in the Blairs community.

A 2015 Chevrolet going north on Route 29 crossed the median and entered the southbound lanes before crashing, according to Virginia State Police.

The driver, 42-year-old Bryson Everett Miller was not wearing a seat belt.

He was taken to the Blairs Fire & Rescue helipad, where he died before a helicopter arrived, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
