
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — An 80-year-old Patrick Springs woman died Thursday afternoon following a collision between a car and a dump truck, according to the Virginia State Police.
The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. on October 16 on A.L. Philpott Highway near Preston Road.
Troopers said a 2012 Ford Fusion was leaving the Dollar General parking lot when it failed to yield the right of way while making a left turn.

The Ford was struck by a 2019 Mack Granite truck going east on A.L. Philpott Highway.
The driver of the Ford, Cinderella Williams Carr, was wearing her seat belt and died at the scene, authorities said.
The driver of the Mack truck was not injured.
No charges are pending, and the crash remains under investigation.

HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A female was killed Thursday in a crash involving a sedan and a dump truck on A.L. Philpott Highway near Preston Road, according to Virginia State Police.
State police confirmed that the female driver of the sedan died at the scene.
The Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department and VDOT also responded to the crash.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name pending notification of family.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
