DANVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — The Danville Police Department is asking for the public’s help, including video footage, as it investigates an aggravated assault that left a man seriously injured early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Lynn Street around 3:30 a.m. on November 1 after receiving reports of an unconscious 38-year-old man found in a parking lot.

The victim was transported to SOVAH Health Danville and later airlifted to another medical facility for additional treatment.

The investigation remains ongoing.
