
DANVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — Local, state, and federal agencies announced the results of Operation No Limits, a week-long coordinated effort targeting violent crime and drug trafficking in Danville.
It led to nearly 100 arrests, the seizure of deadly narcotics, and multiple open federal investigations.
The operation took place from October 27 through October 31 and involved 89 law enforcement personnel from more than a dozen agencies, including the Danville Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives , the Drug Enforcement Administration, the FBI, the Virginia State Police, and the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
According to officials, the joint enforcement effort focused on apprehending wanted violent felons and disrupting the flow of illegal drugs and weapons into the community.
During the operation, more than 96 offenders were arrested on felony warrants, 23 additional individuals were located incarcerated in other jurisdictions, and over 186 total warrants were executed.
Authorities also seized over 55 grams of fentanyl, equal to more than 27,600 potentially lethal doses, along with 28 grams of cocaine, 4.5 grams of meth, 15 firearms, over five pounds of ammunition, and $14,452 in cash.

Law enforcement said that among those taken into custody were suspects wanted for serious offenses including homicide, malicious wounding, child cruelty, armed robbery, rape, and felon in possession of a firearm.
A missing child was also recovered during the operation.
Traffic enforcement played a significant role, with officers conducting 385 stops, issuing 537 citations, and making nine arrests of wanted individuals.
Officials said that four new federal investigations are ongoing, with additional state and federal prosecutions expected.
The operation was coordinated in partnership with the U.S. Marshals Service, Acting U.S. Attorney Robert Tracci, and the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia.
The Danville Police Department did not release the names or mugshots of those arrested.
