BASSETT, Va. (rbs news now) — One person is dead and another was seriously injured after a crash Saturday, according to Virginia State Police.

Troopers responded shortly before 5 p.m. November 8 to the crash on Virginia Avenue near Dyer Street in Bassett.

The Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department, Henry County Department of Public Safety, and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

The cause of the crash has not been released, and the incident remains under investigation.
