PATRICK COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Patrick Urgent Care, located at 835 Woodland Drive in Stuart, will officially close its doors at 7 p.m. today, November 14, citing ongoing staffing challenges.

In a statement, the organization said the decision was not made lightly saying that staff carefully weighed available resources and patient needs before determining that closure was necessary.

“This has been a difficult choice, made only after careful consideration of our staffing resources and the needs of our patients,” the statement read. “We are deeply grateful to the patients and community members who have supported Patrick Urgent Care over the years.”

Patrick County Family Practice, which operates at the same address, 835 Woodland Dr., as well as a second location at 18877 Jeb Stuart Highway, will continue serving the community.

Both sites will offer established patient walk-in visits as availability allows.

Hours of operation remain Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Looking ahead, officials say the plan is to reopen the Woodland Drive site in mid-2026 as an additional family practice office.

The expansion will be supported by three new providers joining the team.

The organization is currently hiring CMAs and LPNs for both the upcoming site and the Jeb Stuart Highway location.

Applicants may submit resumes through the practice’s website under the careers section.
