
MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — A Martinsville man was treated and released from the hospital after being shot Monday night, according to the Martinsville Police Department.
Officers were called at 7:38 p.m. on November 17 for reports of shots fired on Jefferson Circle.
When officers arrived, they found multiple spent shell casings scattered at the scene.
Around the same time, a 42-year-old man arrived at the local emergency room suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said investigators interviewed the victim and processed the crime scene.
The man was later released from the hospital.
No charges have been filed and the case remains active.
