REIDSVILLE, N.C. (rbs news now) — Reidsville police said Thursday that all parties present at the scene of a fatal shooting have been identified.

In an update released Jan. 29, police thanked community members who provided tips and information related to the case.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing and encouraged anyone with additional information to come forward.

The homicide occurred Jan. 21 at about 9:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Carroll Street.

Officers responding to a reported shooting found 34-year-old Chiquila Hairston suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police and Rockingham County EMS rendered life-saving measures, but Hairston was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by contacting Rockingham County Crime Stoppers at 336-349-9683.

A cash reward of up to $5,000 may be available for information provided through Crime Stoppers.

Police said further updates will be released as information becomes available.
