COLLINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — A former rehab program director has been arrested following the execution of a search warrant tied to an ongoing narcotics investigation, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities executed a search warrant March 11 at a residence in the 400 block of Ridge Road in Collinsville as part of an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics.

During the search, investigators encountered Jamie Randolph Foley, 38, who was taken into custody.

Foley has been charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and possession of meth with intent to distribute.

Authorities said additional charges are forthcoming.

Investigators said they recovered multiple items consistent with narcotics distribution, including quantities of meth, fentanyl and suspected heroin, packaging materials, digital scales, a large quantity of assorted pills, Suboxone strips and $1,989 in cash.

Deputies also said Foley was out on two separate bonds from another locality on prior drug-related charges, making this his third arrest connected to narcotics activity.

Investigators said Foley is also wanted in Florida for a probation violation tied to an underlying charge of possession of dangerous drugs.

Florida authorities have indicated they do not plan to extradite him on that probation violation at this time.

Foley was transported to the Henry County Adult Detention Center, where he was booked with no bond.

Sheriff Wayne Davis said in a statement, “Our investigators and deputies continue to work aggressively to combat illegal narcotics in our community. Individuals who repeatedly choose to distribute dangerous drugs in Henry County should expect to be held accountable for their actions.”

Sheriff Davis told rbs news now at the scene that Foley informed authorities he was once addicted to substances, later recovered and became the director of a local drug rehabilitation program, but then allegedly returned to using and selling narcotics.

“It appears at this point that he has actually preyed upon those whom he was supposed to be serving at one point,” Davis said. “It looks like he actually built a clientele list from those who were suffering from addiction so he could profit from it, and that’s absolutely deplorable.”

The investigation remains ongoing.
