FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Franklin County deputies arrested a local man on child sex crimes on January 9.

Colton Heath Kennedy, 27, of Glade Hill, was taken into custody after an investigation and a search warrant was issued.

He was charged with the following:

• One felony count of forcible intercourse with victim under age 13
• One felony count of forcible sodomy with victim under age 13
• Two felony charges of object sexual penetration with victim under age 13
• Two felony charges of aggravated sexual battery with victim under age 13
• Seven felony charges of production of child pornography of child under age 15
• Seven felony charges of possession of child pornography
• Seven felony charges of distribution of child pornography

Kennedy is being held without bond pending court proceedings.

This remains an active investigation.
