HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Families across Martinsville and Henry County will have plenty of free Halloween fun to choose from this year, with dozens of community trunk-or-treat events taking place from October 24 through November 2.

From church parking lots to local parks and fire stations, residents can enjoy safe trick-or-treating, games, and festive activities throughout the week.

All the events listed below are free and open to the public:

October 24

• Victory Baptist Academy — 1300 Dillons Fork Rd, Fieldale. Trunk or Treat from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is a community event open to all ages.

October 25

• Halloween at the Uptown Martinsville Farmers Market — 65 W. Main St, Martinsville. 8 a.m. to Noon. Candy, games, and face painting.
• St. John Missionary Baptist Church — 7470 Axton Rd, Axton. Fall Festival from 1 to 3 p.m. Trunk or Treat, food, games, and prizes.
• Valley Drive Baptist Church — 889 Valley Dr, Fieldale. Trunk or Treat & Chili Cook-off from 2 to 5 p.m. Fun, food, and fellowship for the whole family.
• Martinsville-Henry County Bike Barn & YMCA — 3 Starling Ave, Martinsville. Halloween Boo Bash from 4 to 7 p.m. Trunk-or-treating, carnival games, prizes, and dinner. Free, but registration is encouraged online.
• True Gospel Holiness Church — 2931 Spencer-Preston Rd, Martinsville. Fall Fest Trunk or Treat from 4 to 8 p.m. Candy, food, games, music, and contests.
• Bassett High School Class of 2026 — Lower parking lot, Bassett High School. Trunk or Treat from 5 p.m. until the candy runs out. For preschool through 5th grade.
• Friendly Worship Center — 1110 Morehead Ave, Ridgeway. Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Candy, hotdogs, popcorn, and a hayride.
• Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department — 205 John Redd Blvd, Collinsville. Halloween Open House starting at 6 p.m. Meet firefighters, see their trucks, and collect candy.
• Henry County Parks and Recreation — Jack Dalton Park, 402 Jack Dalton Rd, Martinsville. Halloween Hayride and Trunk-or-Treat from 6 to 8 p.m. Join for a fun hayride around the park and candy giveaways. No registration required.

October 26

• Stone Memorial Christian Church — 3030 Virginia Ave, Collinsville. Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Games, food, face painting, and candy.

October 29

• Martinsville High School — 351 Commonwealth Blvd, Martinsville. Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Hosted by MHS students for the entire community.

October 30

• Spencer-Penn Centre — 475 Spencer Penn Rd, Spencer. Boo Market at 4 p.m. Candy, food trucks, costume contest, and vendors.
• Fairystone Import Parts & Paint — 9230 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett. 3rd Annual Trunk-or-Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Local businesses and families participating.
• Holy Cow Ice Cream — 1420 Virginia Ave, Martinsville. 5 to 7 p.m. Free trick-n-treat buckets, free cotton candy, free toys, and prizes for best kid costumes. (While supplies last. For kids of all ages.)
• Stanleytown Health & Rehabilitation Center — 240 Riverside Dr, Bassett. Trunk or Treat from 5 to 7 p.m. Family fun and treats for all ages.
• Magna Vista High School — 701 Magna Vista School Rd, Ridgeway. 12th Annual Trunk or Treat from 6 to 7 p.m. Face painting, prizes, and support for the Teal Pumpkin Project.

October 31 (Halloween night)

• The Village Market — 6601 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett. 3 to 8 p.m. Kids in costume receive a free hotdog meal (dine-in only).
• El Palmar Mexican Grill — 407 Bridge St. South, Martinsville. Free candy will be handed out starting at 5 p.m. until supplies last. No purchase necessary.
• Heads of State Entertainment — 191 Fayette St, Martinsville. Friday Night Lights Trunk or Treat Cruise-In starting at 5 p.m. Trophies for top costumes and car displays.
• Life Church — 200 Whitby Terrace, Fieldale. Trunk and Treat from 5 to 7 p.m.
• Vision Assembly of God — 153 Oakland Dr, Collinsville. Trunk or Treat from 5 to 8 p.m.

• Bassett Volunteer Fire Department & Bassett Funeral Service — 3735 Fairystone Park Hwy, Bassett. Bassett Family Halloween Fun Night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Games, trunk-or-treating, and a costume contest.
• CANCELED: Oak Level Raceway — 150 Raceway Ln, Bassett. Trunk or Treat from 5 to 8 p.m. Featuring American Idol contestant Kam’ron Smith in concert.
• AMVETS Post 35 — 2147 Virginia Ave, Collinsville. Trunk or treat from 4 to 6 p.m.
• Martinsville Uptown — 115 Broad St, Martinsville. Trick-or-Treat Uptown from 4 to 6 p.m. Street closures for safe trick-or-treating with local merchants.
• Meche’s Beauty — 220 Starling Ave, Martinsville. Trick-or-treating from 4 to 8 p.m. Kids will enjoy full-size candy bars and food items — plus, there’s a special surprise in store just for the moms!
• Fieldale Volunteer Fire Company — 500 Field Ave, Fieldale. Trunk and Treats from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Hope Church — 631 Clearview Dr, Martinsville. Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Fontaine Ruritan Club — 1903 Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville. Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m.
• Mount Vernon Baptist Church — 7174 Mountain Valley Rd, Axton. Trunk or Treat from 6 to 8 p.m.

November 1

• Compassion Church — Food Outreach and Trunk or Treat. Kids get candy and families get free food and cleaning items while supplies last. Will be hosted at 708 Memorial Blvd. in Martinsville from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Horsepasture Volunteer Fire Department — 17815 A.L. Philpott Hwy, Ridgeway. Community Giveback Day and Trunk or Treat starting at 4 p.m. Free hotdog meal, candy, and bounce house.
