REIDSVILLE, N.C. (rbs news now) — Reidsville police announced in a news release on Feb. 6 that a 59-year-old man has been charged in connection with the January shooting death of Christian Deshaun Pollard.
Investigators charged Charles J. Hairston, 59, of Reidsville, with accessory after the fact in relation to the homicide that occurred Jan. 14 in the 100 block of Madison Street.
Police said Hairston was arrested Feb. 5 with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and is being held without bond at the Rockingham County Detention Center, with a first court appearance scheduled for Feb. 12.
Officers were originally called around midnight Jan. 14 to Madison Street, where Pollard, 22, was found suffering from gunshot wounds and later died at a local hospital.
The case remains under active investigation.

REIDSVILLE, N.C. (rbs news now) — A 22-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Wednesday in Reidsville, according to a media release issued Thursday by the Reidsville Police Department.
Officers were called around midnight Jan. 14 to the 100 block of Madison Street for a report of a shooting, police said.
When they arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was identified as Christian Deshaun Pollard, 22.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to police.
The shooting remains under active investigation.
