HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Ridgeway man was arrested early Wednesday morning after authorities executed a narcotics search warrant at a home on Acres Road.
The Henry County Sheriff’s Office said deputies found the entry doors to the home were heavily fortified.
After gaining entry, deputies located Ronald David Robinette, 60, inside the residence and took him into custody without incident.

During the search, investigators said they found multiple packages containing fentanyl, along with digital scales, two stolen firearms and more than $7,000 in cash.
Robinette has been charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute.
He is being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.

Sheriff Wayne Davis said in a news release, “Fentanyl continues to pose a serious and deadly threat to our community. Even tiny amounts can have tragic consequences. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to aggressively pursuing those involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to drugs in Henry County and will continue to take decisive action to protect our citizens.”
The release noted that fentanyl can be deadly in extremely small amounts and is often mixed with other drugs or disguised in counterfeit pills, making it especially dangerous.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
