
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A fire that broke out at an apartment complex has been ruled accidental, according to Henry County Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention/Assistant Fire Marshal Kiah Cooper.
It happened at Richwood Apartments on Richwood Circle during the early morning hours of September 8.
Cooper said the fire was caused by unattended cooking and caused significant damage to the kitchen of the apartment, with the remainder of the unit sustaining smoke damage.

The resident was airlifted to Wake Forest Hospital.
His condition is currently unknown, with updates expected later.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
