HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — Patrick & Henry Community College’s TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is launching its 2024-2025 FAFSA Blitz.

This month-long event offers free assistance to students completing the FAFSA.

The event runs from September 1 to September 30, and will be held at the TRIO EOC office in the Walker Fine Arts building from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

During the FAFSA Blitz, students can receive help with FAFSA completion, college advising, referrals, and are eligible to win prizes upon completing their FAFSA.

The initiative aims to make the financial aid process easier for students applying for the 2024-2025 academic year, according to a news release.

While appointments are encouraged, walk-ins are welcome.

TRIO representatives will be available in Martinsville on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday each week, with additional availability at P&HCC’s Patrick County Site on September 10 and 24, and at the Franklin Center on September 17.

All students participating in the event will need to complete the TRIO EOC intake form as part of federal reporting requirements.
