
PATRICK COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A Stuart man was arrested on November 9 after spitting on a Patrick County deputy during an altercation.
Rodney Aaron Turner, 30, faces charges of domestic assault and battery, obstruction of justice, and assault and battery on a law enforcement officer.
The incident began at around 10:30 p.m. when authorities got a disturbance call in the 1100 block of New Hope Road in Elamsville.
Deputies arrived to find James Turner, the father of Rodney Turner, bleeding with a torn shirt.
Deputies found Rodney Turner at a nearby residence and tried to question him.
Authorities say Turner grabbed a deputy’s flashlight which lead to a physical confrontation.
Video footage reportedly shows Turner spitting on one of the deputies while resisting arrest.
Turner was taken into custody and is being held without bond at the Patrick County Jail.
