DANVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — Police in Danville are investigating a New Year’s Day shooting that left a 21-year-old man with a non-life-threatening injury.

Authorities received a call around 4:40 a.m. on January 1 from SOVAH Health after the victim drove himself to the emergency department with a gunshot wound to his hand.

The shooting reportedly occurred in the area of Riverside Drive and Old Riverside Drive.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Information leading to an arrest and conviction could result in a cash reward.
