
STONEVILLE, N.C. (rbs news now) — A man is dead, and another is in custody following a fatal shooting in Stoneville on January 31.
At around 12:45 p.m., the Stoneville Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 300 of block of South Henry Street.
Upon arrival, officers said they found Warran Joyce, 47, in the front yard with multiple gunshot wounds.
Joyce was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, Miguel Angel Corona, 23, was at the residence when officers arrived and was taken into custody without incident.
Authorities say the shooting stemmed from an isolated altercation between Joyce and Corona.
Corona has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently being held at the Rockingham County Jail without bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
