PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Pittsylvania County man Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 5 p.m. on Route 750, about one mile north of Callands Road in Pittsylvania County.

According to Virginia State Police, a 2002 GMC was going north when the vehicle lost control and overturned.

The driver was identified as 57-year-old John Henry Sasser Jr., of Pittsylvania County.

State police said Sasser was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
