HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A man found asleep inside a running vehicle parked at a gas pump early Saturday morning was arrested on multiple drug and firearm charges, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded at around 5:23 a.m. June 13 to the Circle K located at 1560 Virginia Ave. after receiving a report of a vehicle that had been parked in front of the gas pumps for an extended period with an occupant inside.

Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle running with a man asleep in the driver’s seat.

The individual was identified as 38-year-old Donavon Andreaus Nibblett.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies observed a handgun equipped with an extended magazine in plain view on the vehicle’s floorboard, along with a large amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies safely awakened Nibblett and removed him from the vehicle without incident.

A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered about $3,235 in cash, a crossbody bag containing a digital scale, packaging materials commonly associated with narcotics distribution, multiple baggies containing suspected cocaine and 52 Suboxone strips.

Nibblett was arrested and transported to the Henry County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.
