MARTINSVILLE, Va. (rbs news now) — A Martinsville man has been charged with malicious wounding following a stabbing early Friday morning, according to the Martinsville Police Department.

Officers responded shortly after 12 a.m. June 26 to the 100 block of Park Street after receiving a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers said they found a man suffering from a single stab wound.

The victim was transported to SOVAH Health in Martinsville for treatment before being transferred to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Police said the victim was listed in stable condition as of Friday.

During the investigation, officers identified Kevin Karl Senn, 39, of Park Street, as the suspect.

Senn was later located and taken into custody by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.

He has been charged with malicious wounding and is being held without bond at the Martinsville City Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
