HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A pedestrian was killed Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Morgan Ford Road in Ridgeway.

The Ridgeway District Volunteer Fire Department and Henry County Department of Public Safety were called around 6:25 p.m. to the 300 block of Morgan Ford Road, near the intersection with Old Leaksville Road, for a reported pedestrian-vehicle crash.

First responders confirmed to rbs news now that the pedestrian died at the scene.

Virginia State Police are investigating the crash.

The Virginia Department of Transportation has closed Morgan Ford Road in the area while the investigation continues.
