
HENRY COUNTY, Va. (rbs news now) — A traffic stop conducted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Interdiction Unit on April 21 resulted in multiple arrests and drug-related charges.
Deputies stopped a GMC SUV going southbound on U.S. 220 at the intersection with A.L. Philpott Highway after identifying the driver, Darol Eugene Meeks, as having multiple warrants for revocation of a suspended sentence.
During the investigation, Meeks, 50, was found in possession of $1,069 in cash, along with a digital scale and packaging materials commonly associated with narcotics distribution.
Deputies also located suspected drugs inside the vehicle.
Field testing indicated the presence of meth, fentanyl and Benzylpiperazine.
Meeks was arrested and charged with three counts of probation violation, as well as three counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I/II drugs, including meth, fentanyl and Benzylpiperazine.
He is being held without bond at the Henry County Adult Detention Center.

Two passengers were also charged in connection with the stop.
Carol Morgan White, 36, was charged with possession of schedule I/II drugs, including meth and Benzylpiperazine.
She was released on a $2,000 secured bond.
Mary Elizabeth Bein, 44, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after deputies determined she was in possession of a firearm.
She was released on a $1,500 secured bond.
“The Henry County Sheriff’s Office will continue to aggressively pursue those involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics,” Sheriff Wayne Davis said. “These substances are poisoning our community, and we remain committed to holding those responsible accountable while keeping our citizens safe.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
